there are several white dots all up and down my 2 bala sharks what are they? they werent there 2 days ago.

It is a small parasite that will kill your fish if not cured quickly. Raise the tank temp to 85 degrees for 3-5 days and add the ich medication according to the directions on the bottle.

white dots on a fish is ick. It is a bad disease that will quickly kill your fish. Buy some ick medicine and follow the directions on the bottle. The more time you wast the worse it will get your fish are fighting for their lives right now and need your help. If you make the tank warmer to about 85 degrees the ick will heal quicker. It won't heal without medicine though and it is very contagious... any other fish in the tank are probably getting it too if they don't already have it.

Get "ick" medicine and raise the temp to 80-82.
