I accidently locked the door to my bedroom, how I have no idea. It is the kind that has the little pin hole on the front. I tried opening it with a metal hanger, but was unable to get it. I unscrewed the doorknob but the inside will not budge. Any suggestions? Has this happened to anyone before?

Reading some of these answers, these idiot people must live in trailers or projects.
Taking the knob off will only expose the LOCKED shaft. It is the latch that is locked not the knob mechanism and it seems that your knob does not have a release hole in either the rose escutcheon or the knob. I can only say your last resort before removing the doorstop molding is to insert a thin flexible credit card between the jamb and the latch, pushing the latch in and out of the strike plate. After the door is open, buy a better lock or a passage type (no locking mechanism).

If a coathanger doesn't work.

Take a small blade screwdriver with a shaft long enough to reach the lock mechanism inside and narrow enough to fit into the little hole and insert it into the round hole in the doorknob. When you can feel that it has reached the lock mechanism, turn the screwdriver until it drops into a vertical slot (kind of like the top of a screw). Then turn it and if it is one of those "privacy locks" that should pop your lock open.

You need a tiny alen wrench. Just put the long part into the hole and try to get it into the other hole, directly inside, then turn. Those doors come with "hex keys" to unlock.

Another way is to take the handles off, and then pick it.

Keep pushing around with the hanger. There is a button you hit that opens the door. Now that it is disassembled you should be able to see the button. m
