For $5000 I can biuld you a PC with the following specs:
Pentium 4 Processor 3.0+ Ghz
320GB Memory Hard drive (160GB x 2)
3 1/2 Floppy Drive
Atleast 2GB DDR RAM (Maybe 4GB depending on the Motherboard)
ATI Radeon 9800 graphics card
Legacy Hi-Live 6 Audio Card
24" Flat screen LCD Moniter
Windows XP with Microsoft Office (Or another OS of your choice)
Double Stereo Speakers
But thats just me, I'm sure someone could do better. I know Fragbox.com sells "Dream PC's" for near $20,000 *drool*

NO kidding. Building the system is easy. I think you're being paranoid about the 'programming' of it. Which there is none! LoL! Pop in your window/mac cd when u've put ur components together and voila..and ur hardware cd's after that

Why don't you give it a shot? I haven't built a computer, but I've looked into it before, and with a little research and planning you could easily build yourself your own custom system. Hell, it looks like fun!
