I don't care about the points. The other day I ran into this site by accident, and there was a question about someone mistreating their three-year-old because she wouldn't pick up her belongings on demand. I couldn't help but try to speak up on behalf of the little girl I'll never know. While I was there, looked at a couple of other questions and answered those. I had no reason other than that I had nothing else to do. (I actually got voted "best" on an answer I did for a young kid worried about changing schools, so I thought maybe I gave the kid some good ideas.)
Over the last few days, I haven't had much to do; so after I check my e.mail I may or may not pop on here and see if there's anything I can offer. I guess, mostly, I'd like to be able to give some young person some good answers that he/she wouldn't otherwise get - but the way the questions show up and the way I hop around, sometimes I just can't resist other questions. I probably won't pop on here much longer. For now, though, its something to do.

This is usually the kind of question I skip because seldom is there a good answer for a question of this type so it really isn't even a learning experience to stop and read the comments and no research involved for the learning process but I have been working on my typing and errors for future typing test and this is a good question to see how many words I can get in before I make five mistakes and I get a two point bonus. And why did you waste five points to ask it unless a. your board or B. you have already figured out that points don't amount to a hill of beans. See ya in the funny papers and have a really good day:-)

Frankly, I hardly consider this a question. Sorry.
You can only get the correct answer if you throw the RIGHT question. In this case, I see none.
Had your question be... "APART FROM EARNING POINTS, WHY ARE YOU ANSWERING QUESTIONS IN YAHOO?", You may probably receive the answer that can merit your approval.

I always goes by the number of people answered ! then see how many serious people are there in the world of yahoo-360,.,which means 360 degree >>that' s become a circle so you are also in a circle Buddy be carefull,.,,.,.,{^-*}

Well, apart from the additional ten points I will earn by coming here...your question drew me because I was positive you added further details...but when I saw you didn't, I said, "Oh what the heck...I'm already here. I might as well answer it."

i am answering this one to explain why i answer other peoples, it's because you get an insight into other peoples personalities and lives and sometimes ya can help and sometimes they really make you laugh, it's nothing to do with the points really i find it theraputic just to relax for an hour because rest of day i never stop with my hectic life.
so there, that is why.

Because it is an "open" question.
Open questions begin with :
What, What, Why, Where, When etc, etc
( funny they all start with WH).
A closed question can be answered yes or no.
An open question cannot.
So, "Because it is 3.15am and I cannot sleep".
