I'm sorry, I have no idea what happened to him but I had to comment. It's nice to find another Bob Segar fan. I LOVE his music.

Bob is alive and well I'm happy to say!! He's been boating (a friend of mine's ex was in the Mackinac (MI) sailing or yachting race within the last couple of years. My mom said she saw him on some show recently and he has all white hair and thick glasses! But I guess he's coming out with a new album in September!! How cool is that ?

I think he sang on a song for Matchbox 20 a few years ago I wish he would make a new album I really like all of his songs

I think he got fed up with the whole celebrity thing. I also think I heard he was sick for awhile...some kind of cancer, I believe. Good news is - he's better now. Just heard a new song from him on the radio last week! He sounds great!
