If you were given an island to govern, and you were allowed one weapon to defend it. What would it be, & why?

I would have to sayyyy, a woman. She's the most powerful weapon against man. She can be lethal, callous, devious, moody, strong willed, hardest person to get a long with since God made her from a rib of Adam. Sweet talkingest, flambouyant, beautiful, cunning , and con-artist deluxe. Ruling, pragmatic, sophistacated, pre-determined witch. Yep, she's the only weapon I would need. Oh yes, she can also be your best friend.

In the very first GI Joe series Cobra had a weapon that could teleport things to them were people attacking them someplace else. That's what I would want! Attacking people either get sent to the Sahara or the back end of Norway. Anyone threatening to attack I just teleport in all their weapons but not their soldiers, effectively disarming them.

I would build a plasma shield across the island for defending the island. just like a big gigantic transparent dome.
IT can defend intruder or nature disaster like tsunami.

If they can't get in, you don't have to worry about getting them out. Possibly in the form of a giant fence that's built in the water surrounding the island, creating a barrier so that the citizens of my country could still enjoy the beach, but wouldn't have to worry about tsunamis or pirates or fiery cannons or any of that stuff.

followup: hey vector.... what would be the point of living on a tropical island if you had a shield that blocked the warm sea breeze from washing against your face? and i think "knowledge" is a lame answer to this question. knowledge and intelligence are imperative to one's survival, but it's not enough to protect an island assuming there isn't a Home Depot around.
