What is the base hourly pay for servers where you live? In TN it is $2.13 in most restaurants. Some places pay more, but I want to know the average for the area where you live.

Well, I am no longer a server...now I am an Office Manager and a Passion Partie Consultant............BUT
I was a server when I was younger. In WA state you get min. wage....I don't make min. wage so I am not sure what it is now, but I think it is 7.20 or more....not for sure, but it is at least $7 now. A lot of my family live in TN. When my cousin told me how much she made an hour in Dyersburg, I almost DIED!! I know that the tips are where the money is, but holly cow!
You just have to realize that the cost of living here is much higher. My dad is moving back there to retire b/c his Million $ retirement won't last long here.....At least not if he wants to golf everyday and his wife wants to Bingo...LOL!... If you can imagine that!

IL I believe it is 3.15 or 3.30...you're getting jipped and so are all the servers if they are working on a dead night or have to stay afterwards to clean up
