I've read that they can be born through a C-section. Consult with a veterinarian first. Usually the owner gets an abortion for a dog that accidentally is bred by an overly large dog. There is risk of death when they are unable to give birth naturally to too-large babies.

As all answers so far, i'll tell you the same. Yes they'd be viable but they would also eventually kill the mom just by their sheer size.

In any case, i'm sure you know It's all the same of a mix if you do it the other way around. Have the tiny male inseminate the huge female. It's a neat way to get freaks.

I think the dog would miscarry, because its almost like they are two different species even though they are both dogs. I mean a smaller dog can have puppies with a bigger dog, such as ... a pug and a beagle, but I'm pretty sure a pug and, let say, a St. Bernard wouldnt work

Are you coming on to me? *wink*

No I'm just kidding, it depends on the breeds. I doubt it could be done naturally. However it would be possible in a lab with alittle encouragement. A good example is the famous Labrador (A Labrador and Poodle mix). But I doubt very much a Chahwahwa and a Great Dane could reproduce.

One of my favorite pets was a mix between a Dachshund (the mom) and a Chow (the dad). So it can be done. The mother had 7 pups.

It really would depend on how the delivery was handled. I assume that any previous attempts at this probably ended in c-sectioning the puppies. But normal birth would probably kill either the mother or the puppies. maybe both
