I believe what you're asking is what is name and address of the actual webserver / host of that domain. I don't think it matters if you're on Linux or Windows, but you'll need to get access to your command prompt. At the command prompt type nslookup and then the domain which you're inquiring. This should respond with the name of the host, its aliases and its IP address.

Yahoo will register your domain name. So do many others. They also charge different prices for each year of registration. Mine is registered with WinSave. If you need to find one who will, just do a Google search and enter "domain registration". Pick one and you can go from there.
If you want to know the exact name of the registar, you can find it at "Whois. com"
