im a new teacher and i need a lot of teaching materials. word probelms are my major concern. my lesson now is on measurement - length, volume, mass, capacity, etc. hope to hear form you.. thanks ahead..

You didn't mention what level you are teaching.

I've yet to find good books or materials for math literacy, but that issue is becoming more isolated and focused with the growing immigrant population. Students can read the problem and even verbalize it out loud to you, but they may have no idea what the problem is saying or what it means. All elementary math textbooks have some math literacy like what it means "7 less than 5". And you might want to start with a more elementary math books, usually near the beginning.

For the measurement conversion word problems, you may want to check in the science books. That is where most US curriculum covers measurement conversion problems. Good luck.
