Don't let PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) catch up with you. There are varying opinions on those sealed globes. Mostly the fish just die after about 3 weeks. That is how long a fish can usually go with out eating.
That second link is not a sealed globe, it has a filter that is changeable. I couldn't get anything to come up on the first one.
