the penant race is tight and the big unit just blew a 3 run lead...the guy seems to more of a burden than a help to the yankee efforts...i think its time he be relegated to the bull pen..he can help more in a quick relief situation...hope torre adjusts the lineup soon or it may cost the yanks the whole shebang

i wsa really excited when the yankees got randy johnson a few years ago...but i agree with you....its really frustrating to see him perform the way he has the past couple of years...so inconsistent and he failed to deliver when it counted in the playoffs last year...i've seen many of his games this year and he just cant perform the way he is expected to...his lackluster performances have cost the yanks so many games this year...he is capable of brilliant flashes but cant seem to put it together for consecutive innings...in the end i think you are right...he might serve the yankees better as a relief pitcher since many times after a two or three innings he just seems to lose it

He's 43 with back problems. He's about 3 years past his prime. The only reason he has a winner record is because of the lineup behind him. I think he can be better but it would mean the DL until his back heals. The Yankees don't have that luxury right now. Maybe when they get everyone back his run support will get so much better that his ERA won't even be a factor. Maybe you're right about the bull pen. I still think the Yankees are the team to beat when they get everyone back.

It's a fact that Randy Johnson has lost the "it" factor. Our pitching is such that we have to keep him in the rotation. Middle relief is weak. We need starters who can give us 7 good innings, and we only have 2 that can pull it off. Win or lose, I love them, I've loved them since I first saw them play (43 years ago, when I was 9) and I will love them always. Go Yanks! The best team in baseball history. ♥

EDIT: Top of the ninth. Posada, YES! If Mo can hold them, we've got it!

I don't know what the shebang but the Yankees always struggle with their bullpen when it matters the most they somehow pull it together just like last season Randy Johnson won the Yankees the pennant.

Love the Yankees too!! but I had high hopes When he signed with them, but now when I see he's pitching, I wonder how many home runs will he give away? I think he's winding down, and he knows it. Hate to think every time he pitches, are we gonna lose?
The Yankees need more in their pitching. Go YANKEES!!!
