Yes, it could work. I've seen couples like that. And plus, their kids will turn out beautiful and unique too. I've always wished I could have a trans-ethnic marriage.

You might have find somebody attractive and charming on/through internet or over few phone calls and i am not sure how much you diagonized your would be partner.
As somebody or many said above true love conquers many thing BUT the difference in culture, style of living, traditions, religion etc can create hurdles sometime untill either or both of you are ready to compromise or even ready to be surrendered (which might can hurt your inner feelings sometime), and on the top of this there will/could be a demanding parents/society etc. (in my part of world we still leaving in joint family where parents brothers and their family leaving together and followed by our tradition every parents will expect a lot (like some services, respect etc) from their son/daughter in laws). Hence i would say before entering in to such relationship think twice; talk & discuss a lot to your would be partner and get prepared. While answering to your 1st question i was not knowing that you are talking about a wedding lock.

It is harder and takes more effort. There are issues of different ways of doing things as well as different ways of thinking and reacting to things. There is also the issue that some people will look down on the relationship which creates a tougher situation than your two emotions initially show. However; if the love is genuine, you're truly dedicated to learning the differencesa between you and your families as well as how to deal and co-exist with them, and forsaking what others have to say about it; then a trans-ethnic relationship has a good chance of making it.

I think that any marriage can work when theres true love fueling it! I grew up in a small mennonite community in Kansas, and my hispanic husband is six years older and grew up Catholic in a large mostly hispanic city. Since we're truely in love though I moved to his city and we've been living happily ever after for almost four years now! It hasn't always been a walk in the park, but it was easy to stay together and stick it out because we love each other!

However, Im sure there are some cultural differences which would be hard to adjust to. True love can conquer all though!

As long as the people are in love with each other and open to learning about each other's culture, there is nothing wrong with it. A trans-ethnic marriage has as much chance of working as any other marriage.

Of course if a couple from two different countries decide to get married, there is gonna be differences. However, there is a difference if they are from two different races but live in the same country. If they live in the same country, they will each know at least a little bit a eachother's culture and can adapt to eachothers culture as well as respect it.

It will work as long as there is love between you.

Communication is important also. Listening to each other is vital!Make sure before you marry that you settle differences that might cause you serious problems later on. Especially since you are dealing with two kinds of cultures.

They work.. after all.. how many Americans can say they are full blooded anything? Most of us are a blend of several different nationalities, divorce rates were very low or non existent in the years prior to 1940 and married couples stayed together, thus proving that they do work.

Um yeah probably, its worked before. Variety is the spice of life. No problem with being old fashion but its 2006 time to get over the racial barriers and stop basing a relationship simply on color or culture.

Asian and Caucasian doesn't bother me because the skin colors are similar...

Unfortunately, I've been raised in the South, and they're all highly against "mixed marriages," and some of that seeps over into me. But I'm trying to be better.
