I was impressed with Norway (but it's COLD!). They give family leave to both the mother and the father, paid. They value the arts and give artistic stipends. I think a truly civilized nation values the arts and also values citizens and offers medical care and things like family leave. Life isn't all about grubbing for a buck like it is in America.

LONDON - Ireland is the best country to live in with Switzerland in second spot, according to a sweeping study of 111 nations aimed at comparing happiness around the world.
The survey, produced by the Economist Intelligence Unit and released on Wednesday, showed the quality of life in Ireland well ahead of the United States, which was ranked 13th, and neighboring Britain, which came in at 29th place.
Assuming that wealth is not a finite measure of human satisfaction, the survey is based on complex equations that give precedence to matters of health, well-being, political stability and security. Climate, job security, political freedom, gender equality, and “freedom, family, and community life” are also taken into account.

It's a matter or perspective and what you like. America is HUGE and totally different, from terrain to weather to government and laws. So, please don't be so quick to say you know America doesn't offer an excellent quality of life. I would say, consider what type of weather you like, the type of people/culture you like, and governmental regulations you can live with and then find the country that offers that to you. My guess is that whatever you decide there will be some small part of America that has that too!

I have visited many countries. My parents are immigrants. I have not been to Africa, but read a great deal about this continent and teach children from there. I have not been to Asia, and teach many children from there. Canada is way too cold for me. I still think, yes, it is America. It is very dependent on where you choose to reside in America. Although we are a united country, we do have separate laws in various states. I live in Texas. Things are respectively inexpensive here, but it is a very conservative state. IF you are a rebel, there are certain cities that are better to live than others. When you are speaking quality, that is very relative.

you're an Indian? Which of those countries you wrote is the perfect position emigrate? Canada -at the moment is the perfect position because of its few human beings in a really huge united states of america, esp. even as it contains jobs there are one of those vast quantity of vacancies. And the time-honored of existence in Canada is incredibly that reliable, if you're a married couple and also you receive youngsters, all of your little ones are going to school in Canada freed from can charge sponsored by ability of the authorities of Canada plus they are given nutrients and different allowances. Australia- isn't anymore perfect position for immigration because of its strict coverage in the route of foreigners, because all the jobs there are being held by ability of foreigners and maximum Australians are complaining about it, some Australians do not have any jobs. uk- is yet another united states of america suffering the same destiny with Australia. Racial discrimination are surfacing interior the united kingdom surroundings and racial pressure is mounting, the position they torch Indian community by ability of the British teens and different gangs. human beings from France are crossing border to get to uk esp. human beings from Africa countries, Algerian, Morrocan and so on. New Zealand- is plenty better positive position equivalent to Canada the position in easy words few human beings occupy a unmarried places. it truly is a small united states of america and likewise small style of human beings, they are nonetheless looking for foreigner to fill their interest vacancies. different position you didnot contain are Copenhagen, Belarus, and Monaco.

Well, it's any of the Scandinavian countries as someone else mentioned here. Any of them has an incredible quality of living, and I think Denmark was recently named as the "happiest country in the world" (don't know what parameters they took to decide this, though...).
Austria is also an incredibly beautiful country, peaceful, with warm people (not what you find in Scandinavian countries) and with great living (been there).

If you are financially independent, and don't need to work. America is the best considering cost(tax)/benefit analysis. You can travel and live anywhere else in the world. But America is still your best home.
But if you have to work to make your ends meet, then that's another story. =)
