Living in a home with a 45' cathedral ceiling (living room only)
we can manage up to a 18' high by 9' in diameter. Anything any larger is just too heavy! The tallest tree we have ever bought, however was only 13' tall with a 7' spread. You can just imagine how many presents you could fit under that thing!
But such a pain to decorate....

I have 9 foot tree and my presents are always stacked up higher than the tree. I have a huge family and 2 kids, so I have a lot of packages.

I have enough decorations to decorate 2 trees.

I never know until find the one that appeals to me. Some years I come home with a scrawny Charlie Brown tree that just needs me or I might get a lush, beautiful one. I do tend to migrate to the Noble Firs though. I like to see the ornaments hang.

I'm decorating a 4 ft tall seated teddy bear instead of a tree this year. Thought I would try something different.

Our tree will be about 7 feet high, as usual, to fit the ceiling!

I enjoy Charlie Brown trees more than any other. My husband will probably want a tall one though...usually about 7ft since we only have 8ft ceilings. They ARE a pain to set up and especially to take down...ugh!

Are we supposed to be impressed? I have cathedral ceilings, too, but I don't try to fill up my home with my Christmas tree.

Mine will remain living outside. Ever wonder why, every Christmas, we cut down trees from outside and bring them inside. Then we take lights, (normally light is used indoors), and decide to bring them outside. Think someone got confused somewhere along the line?
