Ok my computer downloaded some stuff where popups consitetly came up. so reinstalled everything it stopped it but now when i open my task manager it says that my cpu usage is at 100% even when im not doing anything.

You need to reformat/wipe the drive and start over, not just reinstall. First thing to reinstall is a Virus program suchas Norton Anti-Virus. 2nd is get a Firewall and install it. Also it sounds like you were not blocking this stuff. Put you blocking on highest setting. Also stop going to the type of sites you have been going to...

common problem... popups ruin computers every day.. just get a good popup stopper and a good firewall...anti-virus sure helps ...i think u should format ur hdd and try what i sayed

after you run msconfig, to see what is running, get crapcleaner and run it. then check msconfig again...

search for crapcleaner in http://kartoo.com or in http://google.com

You need to find out what all is running in the background. I would bet the farm that the crap you installed has taken it upon itself to load at startup. run msconfig and see what all is running and uncheck the crap you dont need!

defrag it, remove programs you no longer use. also you have programs running you dont know about.
