The term Caucasian race, used to refer to people whose ancestry can be traced back to Europe, a region known as the Caucasus. Whites is a slang used to differentiate people of color which is basically politically incorrect.

White refers to a color where as Caucasian American refers to a race of people. Just like black refers to a color where as African American refer es to a race of people
