I just got a new watch and i got a ton of scratches on them before i got it home. Please tell me the bet way to erase scratches from the watch.

Try pledge. The gal at the glasses store recommended pledge to minimize scratches on my sun glasses. It has something (Teflon I think) which will coat the scratches. She said the optician would not be able to polish out scratches. It might work.

Motor vehicle body surface compound. If they are deep scratches you have to change the glass for scratch-proof glass and turn your watch around. Put the face inside and let the band face outward.

Take a small bit of toothpaste, rub only a Few times and polish off.

Jewelers rouge and a Dremmil tool. Test it on an old pair of glasses first.

depending on how bad the scratch is try using the same cleaners as you would for Cd's...

Buy a better watch.
I've had mine for 9 years, and it still has no scratches.
I'm a mechanic too.
The only thing that will scratch mine is rubys, and diamonds.
