I've been wake boarding for 10 years now. I had no problem getting up my first time on a wake board. I had never water skied before wake boarding, but I do snow board. My hubby also found it easy to wake board... and he quickly became extremely good at it. Oddly, we took my cousin out on the boat and he couldn't get the hang of it at all... he's been water skiing & surfing for over 20 years! I thought it would be a piece of cake for him.
The key is to relax, let the boat pull you up... most people try to pull themself up & over compensate. Give it a try... you may love it! Have fun!

I've tried it; it's fun. You need a certain amount of upper body strength to pull yourself up once you get going and you will definitely feel it in your arms and chest the next day, but it's worth it. Good Luck!!

My boyfriend does it and it looks really hard, I think it's harder for women because we are not built as strong as men. All you can do is try
good luck
