Go to your state's Treasury Office to locate unclaimed money/property. You didn't say whether or not this 'company' is charging you a fee to locate/claim said money, but I'm guessing they are. Don't pay or give them anything. You can get the claim form and your money/property, if you have any, from your state for free.
I got money from a paycheck that I didn't know about and it didn't cost me a thing. Except for maybe a stamp. ; )

If you do not know, or have the business records to enable you to find out, you will either bite the bullet and pay the fee, or let it go. Someone else has done the work. Is it reasonable for them to give you the information for nothing?

Go to the website for your state and search the unclaimed property database.
You don't need to pay anyone a fee to get this information, nor to claim your funds.

If you do not know who owes you, you should not be in business.
