I tell myself I'm sane, but on whose level are we rated?Does everyone have some level of insanity and do you think it's needed to "Get By" in an insane world?

I think there are days when I'm more sane than others. It mostly depends on the circumstances. I'm hoping that I'm not classified in with the "wackos", but there are probably times when I come close to it. :)

In an insane world, the sane must appear to be insane!

My response to that would be is there such a thing as being normal? Most levels of normal or saneness is controlled by society/physcologists. Second, what one person can edure, another cannot so it is hard to say "i am going crazy" or "that person is insane", because you don't see it the way they see it, so i think figuring out that should be left to god first, then go from there.

I am certain that I am not sane. I am also certain that no one is sane.

Insanity is a man-made term or point that identifies those who are insane beyond that point which makes them an obvious threat to peaceful society.

However, in this peaceful society, everyone is walking on the brink of this man-made point of insanity which necessitates professional intervention or institutionalization.

You do know that genius is close to insanity, right?!
Insanity is always relative to a situation. The (Christian) Church thought Galilei Galileo to be mental. He might have been a weirdo (I wasn't there) but he was so true about the roundness of the earth!
It's all a matter of acceptance! Enjoy!

I think I am able to anticipate and appraise the effect of my actions. (being sane)
But not all the time! It's not a matter of getting by, just a fact of life. Not everyone is sane all the time. Are you always able to anticipate and appraise the effect of your actions? Then you are reasonably sane, most of the time. :-D

your right, everyone has a different level ( pressure point ) of no return. To me laughter really is the best medicine around, and I believe in a positive attitude. And especially when things look bad that's when I really try to find a bright spot to get me through.

You are probably insane, insane people don't think they're crazy.
Myself, I think I am insane, which makes me normal.

Sanity is only recognized because of mass opinion. If opinion changed suddenly we would find ourselves as outcasts, insane.

I'm reasonably sane by my own standards, which is good enough.
