You have got to be kidding? Right???? Go oline to PuppyLinux.com and download Puppy 2.01 Install that you'll think you have a new computer. VISTA is crap just like XP. I was a BETA tester for both and even did ALPHA testing on VISTA since Bill the Barbarian doesn't know that I am a Linux supporter. Stay away from anything Microsoft

You can't because of your current hard ware:
Windows Vista Minium Specs:
A modern processor (at least 800MHz)
512 MB of system memory.
A graphics processor that is DirectX 9 capable.

On a windows 95 computer you cant do any of these upgrades since windows 95 cant even use the 512 MB ram.

Blah Blah Blah what ever folks. The real answer isn't RAM or CPU fast speed power yata yata take it from me I would take the windows 95 off from your hands for $5 as for the VISTA don't waste money on such a hog for windows your old PC wouldn't handle this beast at all. I would suggest you go with Linux Linspire or Ubunto and you don't have to activate it all the time after each install. In fact I am using Linux right now and I am glad that I got it for FREE!!!

Don't even think about it!

Microsoft Vista has two different versions and both requires an enormous CPU power.
Better think about buying a new computer ( some P4 at 2.8GHz+,
512 K L2 minimum and at least 512 MB RAM memory ) if you what to experiment with new Windows!

I think you will have to buy a new computer if you want to upgrade to Vista. It is quite too slow. This will be the best for you...
Pentium 4 3.60GHz or Dual 3.0 GHz
1GB Ram; better if it is 2GB.
160GB Hard Drive; better if it is 250GB. (7200rpm)

I hope that's not your main computer, if it is you are still living in 1996 :D. Time to get rid of that relic cause you can barely run win 98 on that old fossil, don't even think of Xp or Vista.

I quake in fear of your computers power! No kidding--the machine is trash for anything more needy than 95 with a light load in today's world, the best part on it is its case. Start fresh with a pentium 4, and one gigabyte of RAM, it will last you for years.

I know that WinXP's bare minimum requirements were 64MB RAM (it needs 256MB to run well). I don't know what Vista's requirements are, but I can guarantee you that they are more needy than WinXP's.

If you're looking for a cheap upgrade, go to www.tigerdirect.com and take a look at their barebones kits. You'd be surprised -- you can get a very nice machine for $200 if you know what you're looking for.

you can't....sorry to say...but you will need at least a pentium III in order to run windows xp. besides...you will need to upgrade to 98 first before you even consider vista.
