Ok. listen up. Calm down and relax. If you are going to school from home school i'd advised you to act normal, calm and collected and as the new kid you will make friends within your first week. When the teacher says tell a little bit about yourself. say things that are good about yourself and don't be scared at all.

1. Do you already know some of the kids there? If so, be friendly when you see them, but DON'T be clinging to them.
2. Do not keep starting or joining conversations with "when I was being home schooled..."
3. Do be yourself -- a phony may get by for a few days, but in the end others will realize that you are not who they thought and will not be happy with you. Most of all YOU will not be happy with yourself if you are being a phony.
4. Remember that you are probably not the only "new kid", so don't sweat it.

I don't want to bash homeschooling, because I know a lot kids and parents have great success with it. Just like any school, success is proportional to the teacher's ability to teach, and the student's ability (or more often, "willingness") to learn. But based on the one year that I tried homeschooling, even though my kid passed, I think your parents are probably doing you a favor. Be smart, keep your cool, and good luck.

Oooo.. my firend and i had the same problem.
We thought we'd be normal and go to a normal school (it's not usual for people to be home-schooled here) and the first day we totally freaked out.
Everyone was like 'oh which school were you guys from?'
And when we said we were homeschooled they were like 'wow you're rich'
we ended up homeschooling again.
But i don't know, maybe it'll work out for you.

Do not be nervous! A lot of children who have been homeschool are in your position!
Just relax and enjoy your new experience!
You may find that because you were homeschooled you are a little ahead of the other students. The trick is not to let them catch on!
