You may, but bets you pull your upper lip down somewhat. The reason for opening the mouth is to pull the lid as tight as possible without tearing at the tender delegate tissue. Some just do it much wide than others.

I actually do it with my mouth closed. I think it's a reflex and helps the eyes stay open.

i've heard that too, so i purposly practiced doing it with my mouth closed. lol it does look stupid when you put it on that way.

I can and always could. I even use both hands. I, physically, cannot use one hand to put it on!!
