I loved those. I think they more or less got replaced by computer games, though. I know I personally went from the Choose your own adventure books to the old Infocom text adventure games. Zork rocked. After that, as the games advanced I kept up with buying new fantasy/RPG games for a while, but then in my 20's I moved on to other interests altogether. I do miss those books, though. They were fun.

They still have them but not as many as they used to.
Oddly enough, they just released a DVD Choose Your Own adventure where you use your remote to select what you want to happen next, just like in the books. I think its called Choose Your Own Adventure: Abominable Snowman. I know we sell it at our Wal-Mart here in Fairbanks and it came out last week.

I have no idea but I do miss them. I remember taking the time to read every one I could get my hands on, take the time write down my decisions and then see where they lead me. After that I would go back and read the story again and chose the other options. It was great for an imagination.
Thank you for bringing back some fond memories.

Apparently, they went back into publication, but you can always save a lot of money if you buy used books, especially if you're looking for a certain title or older titles.
check out www.wellingtonsquarebooks.com (<- these guys are a private bookshop, but they are AWESOME!) or www.abebooks.com

OMG. I remember those!!! Wow. I haven't seen one of those in a while. I used to read those over and over everytime a new story. Those must be very confusing to write.

Most public libraries carry that series. They were fun and certainly encouraged reading with their interactive format.

I loved those. I would spend forever reading all the different possible endings. Too bad they don't have those for adults.
