I have struggled with weight issues most of my adult life. First of all, realize you are a person of worth regardless of your size. And if you decide you want to lose weight, do it for yourself--not to get people to like you, or get a boyfriend. But you want to be as healthy as possible. This is what I did, and I have lost over 90 LBs: eat a healthy, balanced diet of lean meats, whole grains, lots of veggies and fruit, and low fat dairy. Start an exercise program. I walk. Even 10 minutes of walking will lower blood sugar. And drink lots of water! It helps you stay hydrated and fills you up. And don't deny yourself an occasional treat. If you do, you are more likely to binge eat. If you need some help putting together a program, contact your local hospital and make an appt. with the dietitian. Their services are probably free, and they can also set you up with some classes about healthy eating. They can give you meal plans, recipes, and menus. But most of all, remember you are a beautiful person inside. It's hard in our culture. But do things to cultivate a healthy self-image. Find a support group, and ask your friends to help you and encourage you. And focus on optimum health, not being skinny. Good luck and blessings!

go to a gym . get a personal trainer , you should get a personal fitness plan so you will lose weight faster and in a more effective way. Try to isolate the foods that are bad for you aka junk food. drink more water and whenever you have free time go out for a walk. You are gorgeous no matter what but losing the extra weight you have will create for you a longer lasting , more energetic and happier life. good luck

You don't go on a diet. Everyone is always on a diet, just some people have healthy diets, and other people have bad diets. So just get a healthier diet. Like one thing, is if you are a soda drinker, lay off the soda. Now I'm not saying don't ever ever drink soda again, just to get it to one or two cans of soda, or cups of it, a week. If you can lay off it completely, that will let you lose a couple of pounds quickly. Basically, just eat healthier, and work out 3-4 times a week, cardio work-outs. Like running on a treadmill, or riding a bike. GOOD LUCK!

Admiting it was step one. Now do something about it, only you can. Do what works for you as far as diet and exercise? If you are more than 30lbs overweight, it may be good to seek the advice of you doctor first. Best of Luck. I am dieting as well and just joined a fitness center. I have 30 pounds to loose.
Bye

Cut down on the portions that you eat and dedicate at least 45 minutes a day to lifting light weights and brisk walking.

Eat more, you are in a majority now. 51% of Americans are obese. And you could even collect disability for it like Homer Simpson did. And Medicare now covers Gastric Bypass so you can keep eating all you want and get skinny at the same time. Mmmmmmmmm bucket-o-ice-cream!

Start out slow. Lessen your proportions of food, eat healthier food and exercise more. Make it a habit. It takes people an average of 21 days to form a habit.
Good Luck!

Get off the computer, go outside and MOVE. Walk, run, jog, lift weights. Do something to get your metabolism revved up.
Then make sure not to eat junk food or fried food.
You didn't gain it all at once, don't expect to lose it all at once.
Good luck.
