my friend needs help. This is her idea for an outfit for school:
Hiking boots
Too Short BOYS cargo jean pants
Thin plaid vest
white too-small tshirt
knee socks
AARGH she won't wake up! eighth graders do not wear those things!!! I drop hints but she doesnt get it!!!!!! She's nice, but she seriously needs help. She will not spend over $5 on a shirt and like $10 on jeans and she shops at WALMART! and gets handmedowns. She isn't poor at all! She has a problem.
I know this sounds snobby to say I think she needs a fashion consultant, but she is teased alot behind her back. She doesn't even realize it!!! What the heck am i supposed to do?

She sounds like an awesome candidate for "What not to Wear" on TLC. go to www.tlc.com and find where to submit info. They may very well pick her. I will watch future episodes and maybe see you and her.
Maybe buy her some nice clothing for her birthday and then she will have to wear it.
I just had a home party fashion show from a company called Weekenders. We got to try on clothes and they are awesome, they are very flattering and stylish for just about anyone. Look them up online to see if there is a dealer in you area. good luck!!

Well, you could get together some of your guy's friends and give her a make-over for her birthday! It would be a great present for her and she wont even realize what you guys are pulling. Doing this with a bunch of friends will cover the cost factor-- everyone pitches in a little bit. After that -- you could try going shopping with her--- urge her to get something she wouldn't necessarily buy on her own!!!! P.S. If she doesn't dig the new clothes then don't push her!!! Everyone has their own STYLE!!! Good Luck!!!

Try talking to her.Explain to her but calmly or ask her to go shopping with you and give her some fashion tips and stuff like that .You could also give her a fashion magizine and say these are some of the things people are wearing these days try some of them you might like it or try to find a color that goes with her and tell her that this color will go soo good with her.Also tell her to try some other looks.Hope i helped if i didnt i am sorry!!

Sign her up for how do i look get you and two other people to help they come to your own state and no charge for any of it (it is on the style network) the 3 people get to chose how they want her to look and then she choose which one she whats.
P.s. after the 30 minuite show there is contact info and more about it. o and each person get $1000 to pick everything

What she considers fashion may not be the same as yours, but at least she has her own personality and isn't into giving into peer presure and wearing what's in. You've gotta respect that.

how about old navy?? they have some nice clothes there especially wen they r on sale!! they're sooooo cheap! i got $2 jeans there!!! and their quite comfy too!
