I am a mom of 7 and I have never been tested for drugs. It is only *standard* to test for all STDs.
I know tons of women who smoked some weed before they knew they were pregnant, and their babies are all fine. The important thing is to just stop as soon as you do know. :)

Usually at some point they will do blood work on you - but I guess it's at the doctor's discretion if they check for drugs in your system. You can either wait to find out or just be honest with your doc about what you did before you knew you were pregnant.

I was not tested. Everyone may be different, though. Does your doc have reason to suspect you're an "abuser"? If not, you probably won't get tested for drugs. Not only that, MOSt people I talked to, including myself, did not know that they were pregnant and had "indulged" by either smoking or drinking. Now that you know, don't make any mistakes.

You need to be honest with your doctor. I didn't know I was pregnant because I always had to be on fertility drugs to have my other two so I assumed I couldn't concieve without them and I went to two social gatherings and have margaritas at both before I knew I was pregnant and due to my irregular periods I was like 7 weeks before I knew and I was honest and told him. He said it was no problem it happens but I was very scared and it was nice to be honest with him from the start.

Yes, I believe all doctors take a thourough blood test and urine analysis when your pregnant. The reason being is so that they can determine if you have any kind of illnesses or your putting your baby in danger or at risk for birth defects. Please stop doing that stuff it really hurts the baby ok. And for your well being too. God Bless.

Just be open and honest Every doctor-patient relationship carries with it a duty on the part of the doctor or other health provider to keep patient information private and refrain from disclosing it to third parties without your consent. A doctor or medical professional who breaches this duty by disclosing confidential information, including your medical records, may be liable to you for damages for any injury (including embarrassment) you suffer from the disclosure. The duty of confidentiality may not be broken absent authorization from you to release your records to a designated third party.

You can't change what you did in the past but, you can make damn sure that you don't do any harm now. You have probably seen what was wrong in doing that, so just be honest with your doctor and tell them so they can take proper care of you and the baby from now on.

There would probably be some toxicology screening - whether anything showed up or not depends on how long ago and how much... but unless you're very young you should be entitled to the usual confidentiality...
