Okay one good band is Hellogoodbye, there a goofy pop/ punk band from California. Another band is Lifetime there originally from new jersey and there a punk band. You also might want to check out :Saves the day, Red jumpsuit apparatus, matchbook romance, Riverboat Gamblers, and Armor for sleep. Most of the bands I just mentioned are on Van's warped tour 06 compilation CD. It comes with 2 CD's and has more than 50 bands that you can listen to. Its pretty cheap too, I got my CD for only $8.99. Hope this helps.

The Dirtbombs

forget White Stripes, Mick Collins of the Dirtbombs is THE Detroit rock master!! saw them live a couple of months ago and they kickedass!

sorta punky garage fuzz rock sound

check out:
"If don't already have a look"
double album of all the singles over past 10 years

"Ultraglide in Black"
is a killer cover album of old Motown soul tracks

the last album had a good song called "Stop" that got a lot of college radio airplay..

enjoy!

I don't have any new bands to report but a great band to check out if you haven't already is Motörhead. From what you've listed as genres/sub-genres that you like chances are you'll like them.

Ima Robot - Listen to "Let's talk turkey" or "Scream"

Red Lorry Yellow Lorry - Listen to "Temptation"

The Deliriants - Special note on these guys: the only way you'll get to hear them is to hope another rare CD shows up on Amazon.com They are the most intense grunge I've ever heard. Listen to "Redd", "Plunger" or "Steamroller"
