NO it is not simply just fine!!!!!!! Certain areas, yes, enojoy and relax. Basically any points on the shoulders, arms, face, and head are perfectly safe. THere are other points on the body that can be very dangerouse, and a true massuese will be able to tell you so. The sole of the foot, the calves and the pad of the foot just below your third toe stimulates the uterus and or cervix, and can actually be used to induce labor naturally. There are also these point on the hands, so stay away from a hand massage as well. The lower back is ok, just no high pressure massage, the spinal colum is more vulnerable from all the stretching your body is doing. My best advice to you is to find a book on labor and pregnancy massage (there are some guides on the net that show specific pressure points as well) this way you will be able to know which areas to avoid before labor and which can be of great comfort and assistance during. GOOD LUCK!

Oh YES YES YES!
As long as your massage therapist knows you are pregnant and is familiar with working with PG women it's FINE! (There are a few pressure points they'll want to avoid as they can cause contractions.)
I saw a massage therapist on a regular basis in all three of my pregnancies. It is Sooooooooooo good for you! It will take away the aches an pains of pregnancy. It will teach you to relax which will be helpful in labor. And it will balance your body which will make labor easier.
GO FOR IT! You'll LOVE it!
Your MT will work with you on positions reguarding what is comfortable and what is not. Some MT who have a lot of pregnant clients have a special table with a hole for your belly. You can try laying on your belly and back....either is fine if you are comfortable. Or they will put you on your side with a pillow between your knees. They'll use as many wedges or pillows as you need to get you into a comfortable position.

A massage while pregnant is a great way to relax and help relieve some of the aches and pains of pregnancy. Many massage therapist offer prenatal massage. I'm also pregnant and a prenatal massage sounds great to me!

There are some people who won't massage you while you are pregnant because it can cause you to go into premature labor and there are some who, will with a note from your doctor. I would just call around and find one who will and also call your doctor if its okay. They will be able to tell you, if they know, someone that does it and what is safe for you and the baby.

Go to a registered massage therapist and make sure that you tell them that you are pregnant. There are certain trigger points that you can hit to induce labor and things that will cause other problems for you if you don't tell them. Also make sure that you either sit in a chair or in a special bed for pregnant women..you don't want to lay and put the pressure on your stomach.

You want to stay away from "deep" massages because of the different accupressure points in your foot. More then likely they have noticed you're pregnant and will either do it lighter then normal or avoid those spots. I found this out with my last pregnancy since I live in China and was warned about it by my doctor...the Chinese medicine specialist.

you should see your doctor.
massages releases toxins coming from your muscles into your bloodstream. and your bloodstream obviously reaches your baby. im not a doc.
but i know of one non pregnant woman who got such a great massage..but after a while felt sick because all the toxins that were released into her body was too much for her.
again, go to a doc. don't listen to a massage therapist. they are not medically trained. and many people are just looking for money and will tell u anything.

Well, 29 weeks is about 7 months? I dont think its okay, because your belly is probably out, and laying down on your stomach might cause pressure to your babies head or body. I would just wait the 8 weeks, just to be sure. Even if you lay on your back, pressure to your stomach will most likely cause pressure also.
