Okay. Here's the story. I've been living in my home for 26 years and I have seen neighbors come and go. The family that lived next door began renting their home to (it seems like) 3 or 4 families living together. Together, they all have 5 or 6 kids and they are constanting throwing things (trash) over the fence. I have told them to stop and I have complained to one of their parents but they continue to do so.

HERE IS what happened today: My daughter mowed the backyard lawn and I started watering it. I could see through the fence one little boy grab his hose on the other side peering through and spraying it. Then, when my daughter and I were sufficiently annoyed by being stared at, we went in the house and immediately after, one of the older boys (14?) threw a long wooden pole over. I went to the fence and told them to stop and I heard a faint, "I'm sorry." I don't know what else to do?

Does anyone have any advice that would solve this problem but keep neighborly peace?

It is your property. Let them know in no uncertain terms that you're going to be keeping a full account of these activities and reporting it to your town -- be it the police, the group who handles town ordinances or whomever, there are typically laws against this type of vandalism-oriented behavior. The police and town will be on your side because they have a vested interest in keeping people (i.e. taxpayers) happy. Don't be afraid to make a stir and make noise. It's a little uncomfortable, but we only had to call the police once for our problematic neighbor to get the "message"

You have every right to live without such worries and such stupidity (BTW they may also be breaking zoning laws by having too many people in the house)

As yet another poster prompt, it might be useful to grasp a few specifics - the forms of disorders you understand approximately and the way ancient the child is might support. If you've got youngsters that may engage with this little one, I'd attempt to prohibit the interplay, and supervise what are not able to be removed. If you notice habits that's unlawful or unsafe, name the police. I'm a significant believer within the concept that "it takes a village to elevate a little one", and with more youthful kids, I'll factor out their deficient habits and unhealthy have an impact on (primarily whilst it is round my possess daughter), and ask for them to act larger round littler youngsters. But do not positioned your self at hazard. If there's a bodily chance (with an older little one for instance), then avoidance is the high-quality alternative.

Sometimes there just isn't a way to keep the peace..and you'll get the occasional pain in the @ss neighbours.
I would complain again to the parents, and if it still persists, take action.
There was a girl up around our cabin, and she kept riding her scooter/bike into people, and the scooter wasn't even her's! It was our family member's.. so they just took it back from her, and said NO you cannot do that.. it isn't yours, it don't belong to you.
We never had the problem since, sounds mean.. but someone's gotta take action to the matter, or else they'll think it's right to do the thing's they want to do, and it'll persist thinking they can get away with it.

I'd suggest you call the police on them. I thought I was the only person having this problem. But my neibor moved out, but her son still comes over with his friends and skateboard on my side of the house. When my dad had to come out to tell them to leave, one of little kids hid and yelled and cursed at my dad. Then they take advantage of the fact that my father's blind by still standing here even after he tell's them to leave. As a result, my dad has to call the police and see what happens from there. What's worse is that my other neibors doesn't do anything to help me. Then again, I'm the only black person living in an all Latino city/neiborhood.
