There are a number of reasons why you might get an error. I am not sure if you are talking about your my Yahoo! page (http://my.yahoo.com) or the new Yahoo! home page that is now personalized. But either way these solutions work for both..

1. You should recognize that these pages gather sources from lots of other websites (some of them owned by Yahoo! and some not); if one of those websites is down/not responding sometimes there is a temporary problem getting a news feed or a section of the page. So it may be a temporary problem, in which case, close your browser and open it again and go back to the home page to see if its resolved.

2. Yahoo! relies heavily on cookies. Make sure all the necessary options are turned on for cookies (see link 1 below)

3. Some Yahoo! content now relies on Flash unfortunately. If you dont have Flash installed and/or have ActiveX disabled on your pc you may not see that content. However, some would argue you are better off with ActiveX disabled than seeing some flashy advert or whatever!!

4. There are some problems that just keep happening in my Yahoo! (and now in Yahoo! home page) that I find maddening, and I have reported to them countless times.. for example, sometimes it cant get hold of my calendar info despite the fact that I can get to the calendar page myself with no issues. The same often happens on the mail module - it often cant retrieve your mail messages the first time it tries, and you have to do a hard Ctrl-Refresh (hold down the Ctrl key and press the F5 key) to get the contents (and sometimes even that doesnt work). They are getting better but I do still see this problem from time to time.
