I don't even have to think about it. I know.
Led Zeppelin II, partly because that's the one I played for her the only time in my life when I actually wound up with the woman of my dreams.
But then, I may have played it for Ruthie because it was already my favorite.
The entire CD is "our song."
So my favorite ZepTunes are Track One, Whole Lotta Love, through Track Nine, Bring It On Home. If I have to pick one, I can't very well say "The Lemon Song" is my favorite ZepTune of all time, can I? Hell no, and neither could you. Thank You, What Is and What Should Never Be, Heartbreaker, and Living, Loving Maid are all there, too. It can't be done. Maybe my favorite ZepTune isn't even on my fave ZepAlbum. It's whatever one gives me that gigantic rush of happiness and adrenaline the next time.
I'll ask you a question now.
Have you ever heard any Dred Zeppelin? They're awesome but so bizarre. They do mostly ZepTunes, but some Who and Deep Purple and such, too. Elvis singer, Bob Marley rythm section, diamond-hard guitar solos, and a band that is way too tight to be playing "comedy music."
I would not recommend this if they weren't a totally professional and highly-entertaining group. If you only want to download one song to check it out, I'd recommend "Whole Lotta Love," but "Black Dog," or "Ramble On" are great, too. They all are.
The band will grow on you, especially in a Friday/Saturday Late-Night frame of mind. I know you'll think I'm nuts, but you'll thank me later, as I did the nut who turned me on to them when I still thought he was nuts. The guitars are awesome and the singing is a lot better than you'd imagine. They're what I listen to when I'm in the mood for Zeppelin and just can't get myself to play any more Zeppelin.

I'm not sure of the album...maybe Coda. It used to be on the box set only, but the favorite song by far is "hey hey what can I do". Second fave is "thank you"...
Oh yeah: "that's the way"-on the No Quarter album-it's not Led Zeppelin, just Plant and Page, but I love it.

Hard, hard question!!! I was going to say Houses of the Holy simply because "No Quarter" still gives me chills . . . but, start to finish overall would have to be Zeppelin II. Can't get down to one song though. "Thank You" is just the most beautiful love song, but "What is and what should never be" - that part when Page's guitar is going from one speaker to the other, that is body mind and soul tranporting :-) All in my original vinyl with nary a scratch - treasured stuff.

Its a toss up. Either Stairway to Heaven on #4 or Trampled Under Foot on Physical Graffiti.

I love their self-titled album the best. Dazed and Confused gets me EVERY TIME. "Been dazed and confused for so long..."
I'm not big on Robert Plant's voice, but Jimmy Page is one of the best guitarists of all time, and John Bonham (RIP) was an amazing drummer!
