Israel lose because the prime minister is f---
Who fixed literally Israel military power!

Israel had it came for them laying back for 6 years
and thinking they are "safe" behind fences
(there haven't built the fence which couldn't have been penetrated)
which are the most technology advances border.
And still the Terrorists not only crossed the border but also kidnapped Israeli soldiers.

We knew what you meant :) Hopefully the grammar police are on break. hehe

This is a very tough question.

I can honestly say that I am 'on the fence' even though I have Jewish heritage.

I believe that both sides are right and both sides are wrong. I'll explain:
- 2000 years ago the Jewish ppl had control of Jerusalem; some believe that gives them the right to own it now
- BUT then the Palestinians had control for many many years; some believe that gives them the land
- 1948 countries outside of either the Jewish ppl or the Palestinians stepped in and created Israel; thereby, giving it to Jewish ppl and settling the dispute
- Ever since that occurred, the Palestinians have felt as though the land was stolen from them... much like the Jewish ppl felt it was stolen from them before.

So you see, neither is right and neither is wrong.

-This also applies to the violence. Both sides have committed atrocities. Israel goes into Lebanon with aerial bombs kililng many civilians when they know Lebanon has no air force. That seems cowardly and unfair to me.

-But on the other side, you have the Palestinians and Hezbollah that constantly use suicide bombers to kill Israeli civilians.

Once again, neither is right and neither is wrong.

Good question Ethan. In my opinion, the work the Israelis have done turning what was pretty much a desert into livable (and in some cases desirable) towns and cities can not be ignored. They get to keep them. On the other hand, the lands taken from Jordan and Egypt should be given back, and Israel should be put back to it's original borders. If Jordan and Egypt want to donate that land to form a Palestinian state, they should be allowed to (although I wouldn't hold my breath). If you really want to solve the main problem, you have to deal with Jerusalem. What I would do is level the city to the ground....every temple, every mosque, every church, every religious site. De-mystify the city. Then, divide it equally between the major religions, and allow them to re-build their ancient sites....heck, they can use the same bricks and stones if they like. Let them pretend god even told them where to rebuild....as if that's where the sites really belonged anyway. Then everyone can stop the killing, because they will all have their respective "holy" city.....everyone wins!

This is a difficult question to answer. Before World War 2 Palestine was the name of the land that now is called Israel. After the war Jewish people were given the land and they called it Israel, but this resulted in the removal of the native Palestinians. The Palestinians were forced to live elsewhere and the rest of the Middle East was already claimed by other peoples. The Palestinians became a roaming society with no true home. Now they want their land back which was rightly theirs in the first place. If you study the history of the land and the people you can better answer your question. Good luck.

Yes. The current Israel is way smaller than the ancient Israel was anyway. One of the reason the Israel was resurrected was the sad events of Holocaust. Having withnessed the suffering of the Jews, other nations decided that Jews should have their own homeland. This way if there is ever any persecution of Jews worldwide, Jews always had a home.
Here is what Israel once looked like

As much as this question just sounds like a mean comment, it's a valid question. Israel was created by the Allies after WWII. I don't know enough about the history to back up an opinion, but I do think they have a right to exist.

Of course it does. It came into being, as many nations did during the same era, as a result of a UN mandate (which the Palestinians refused, which has denied them an independent state to this day). It has been a fellow democracy for more than half a century, with free elections, free press, and an open, multi-party political system. That sounds like a state with a great deal more legitimacy than the cobbled-together dictatorships that surround it.

More than a right. It has an obligation to exist. God established it in the Old Testament, and God's Will had better not be tampered with. The arabs are finding out the consequences of such tamperings as we speak. God Bless you.

Would you even be asking this question if Israel had just taken off the kid gloves and wiped out every Arab in the region 20 years ago?
