Oh god. Nothing is going to jump out or come out and attack you. There not evil. Ouija boards do work. I knew someone that couldn't spell and she would actually get on it and she would get answers.

Again? how many questions on this do people ask? yes it's very dangerous if you do it alone or don't know what your doing or take the proper precautions to protect yourself.
Whatever you do don't ask it about God, the Devil. Demons, Angels. Alot of the spirits swear some of the entities like demons can read your mind they'll tell you whatever you want to hear so that you keep the portal to the otherside open
You can be assaulted during your sleep by these things
They can levitate objects in the air
In extreme cases people can be posessed by demons
Here are some rules:
1) Don't taunt spirits ever
2) If you want to get rid of the board never throw it in a fire
3) Ask your questions in a clear manner
4) Never do a seance or an ouiji session alone always in a
group
5) You have to take the proper precautions to protect yourself
and everyone in the seance with the right rituals.
6) Close the portal when a seance is over properly.

Divination boards have a long and ancient history with systems similar to the Ouiji being found among the Hittites. At that juncture and for a very long time thereafter, such implements were regarded as sacred and only used by skilled hands. However, now this "tool" has become a "game"... i.e. it was taken out of its intended context and is as a result mis-used. And like any tool you don't know how to use properly - there are inherent potential dangers.
I have a lot more details than what I've written here and would be happy to post further if you'd like more of the history. Think of the board like a knife - use it right, respect it, know what you're doing and it works fine. Mind you, knives have two edges (smile).

Pen & Teller had a good show (called Bullshit) where they showed people using a type of board similar to the ouija. They blindfolded them and turned the board around so it was upside down and the people who were supposedly communing with spirits were actually making the marker move to where the YES NO answers would have been if the board hadn't been turned the right way around. It's all a bunch of crap and not real at all.

The Ouija board is not something to mess with. My brother had an experience where he was playing it with some friends and they got creeped out and threw it in the back of the closet, but the next day it was sitting on the counter. Then he had a dark presence in his house that he could not explain. It scared the crap out of him until he was able to contact a clergyman and essentially exorcised the spirit from the house. Don't mess with it, no matter what your friends tell you.

I only believe in the game when it is in the hands of the right people who have the gifts to use it properly..For everyone else, it's just a game board that you push a piece of plastice on top of.

It's a silly thing, really. Nobody over the age of 13 should even be remotely interested in it. The little plastic chair with the felt tips on its feet cannot move on its own. Get it???? It takes two silly adolescent girls to ask each other a question and then one of them makes the little chair slide over to the ANSWER, so the other one can go "WOW !!!!!! IT'S PSYCHIC !!!" Get it?

I'm not certain if Ouija boards actually work in contacting spirits, however, they are certainly NOT games...

If you believe, it's wrong to call it a game and it should not be treated as such. If you don't believe, I don't understand why in the blue blazes you would bother with it at all. I haven't made up my mind about it.
