Yes. I was in band since 4th grade. I played flute. Then later on I switched to oboe and clarinet and once I was in high school I played drums during all marching seasons. I loved music and it was a great way to learn to play all sorts of instruments free of charge. It was where I first learned to read music, learn all types of music and appreciate them all. And its true Music soothes the savage soul!!

I was a volleyball player in high school - but I tell you what - those band f_gs (which is what they were called back then) really worked their butts off!

Yes. I played trumpet from 4th grade through freshman year of high school. Wouldn't you know, the year I quit, they got to go to the Rose Bowl!!!!!!!!

I was in the percussion section all 4 years of highschool and it was my favorite course. I would certainly recommend it, but warn that it is a lot of work.
