First of all, there would be a decrease in sensation (at least from a purely physiological point) as there's lots of nerves in the foreskin. This can be partially minimized by removing little of the inner foreskin in order to retain the most sensitive part of what would otherwise be cut off.
Circumcision is a surgical operation, and thus has its own risks. I believe the rate of complication ranges somewhere between 1-10%. It can range from excessive bleeding, to local infection, to skin bridges (in infant circumcision only usually), to MUCH more severe problems. The worst circumcision complications will happen in infants, simply because pretty much any surgery on an infant is multiplied in complexity. Thank god infants heal a LOT faster than adults.
Also, depending on how one gets circumcised, there might not be enough skin left to fully cover an erection. If it's particularly tight, erections will be painful and tears in the skin may occur. Also, sometimes aesthetically the scar tissue could be uneven or constrictive (again, depends on how it's done but also on the person's healing ability).

Risks of circumcision
Example of a "skin bridge", one of the possible negative side effects of circumcision.Circumcision is a surgical procedure. While the risks of circumcision-related complications are very low,[42] the complications resulting from a poorly carried out circumcision, post-operative bleeding, or infection can be catastrophic.[43] Bleeding and infection are the most common complications of the procedure, according to the AMA, although in the majority of cases, bleeding is minor and hemostasis can be achieved by pressure application.[3] Longer term complications include infections, urinary fistulas, meatal stenosis, ulceration of the glans, removal of too much tissue, and secondary phimosis. Infant circumcision may cause problems such as skin bridges, when the cut skin does not heal neatly but attaches to the glans penis instead. This does not commonly require surgical correction; rather, a brief, simple, office procedure may be performed.[44] Meatal stenosis may be the most common longer-term complication from circumcision. Recent publications give a frequency of occurrence between 0.9% in Iran[45] and 9% to 10% in the U.S.[46] Loss of the penis itself has been documented. The RACP states that the penis is lost in 1 in 1,000,000 circumcisions.[47]

A huge drawback: loss of sexual sensitivity. The foreskin contains numerous nerves which sense and transmit feeling. A great deal of that pleasure sensitivity is lost as the result of circumcision.
Any couple due to have a baby boy should remeber the lyrics from that Rightous Brothers song: "You've lost that lov'n feeling", because that's what will happen to your son. Don't circumcise!

Well, not having a circumcision has no drawbacks. Actually, as long as a man keeps himself clean under the extra skin, it's no different. Sex is more pleasurable as well because the head is hidden in the skin all of the time, and more sensitive when erect.

There are drawbacks for a man's partner as well. The natural skin system is better at damming up the opening of the vagina so natural lubricants don't get dragged out.
An intact man's skin naturally bunches up (upon a withdrawal) in such a way to stimulate a woman's G-spot.
The corona of an intact man feels girthier by two thickness of skin upon a withdrawal.

Besides the ritual mutilation of the male genitals......
loss of sensitivity (dry, keloid skin forming on glans / severing of nervous tissue)), scarring & deformation.
In North America especially it is concidered the normal thing to do. Why? Just a popular misconceeption that it's cleaner... this 'tradition' permeates the whole of society including the medical profession - with NO sound backing. There is worldwide OUTCRY at the so called 'female circumcision' (removal of clitoris & large portions of labia minora) so why condone the mutilation of infant boys? The medical pratitioners are ALL criminals - "First do no harm" is their motto....does removing perfectly healthy skin & making a decision that will forever affect the man justify this act of fashion?

circumcision was invented by desert-people. if you dont wash under willy you can get nasty build up and infections, as water isnt always availalble in the desert washing could be difficult.
In the world today where we are able to wash daily there is no need or reason to be circumcised.
Circumcised penis' lose a massive ammount of sensation. The forskin is there to protect a sensitive area of skin, with out it the skin becomes very de-sensitised. May be thats the problem with america, the fashion is to have the tip chop so sex can never be as good, always searching for that sensation that can never be achieved must be frustrating...

Blood, not allowing the boy to choose for himself. Isn't the shock of childbirth enough. We didnt have our son circumsized. Hes a teenager now and never had the occasion to question if we made the wrong decision.

Cold in winter, and just somewhat vulgar to my way of thinking; a peasant's fashion (a bigger drawback than a whale's foreskin).
-
(& How do you circumcise a whale? - You need four skin divers....)
..
Sorry.
