If you get your broadband provider to do it you will have to pay for second line. Go to your local electronics store or Walmart if you have one there. Pick up a cheap router and some cable. The people who work there can help you make sure you get the right kind. I have two computers hooked up to my broadband and the router was about 40 Dollars with no extra monthly fees from cable company.

You can use any number of routers available from most PC or electronic stores. You can go wireless, or use cable to link them. Most times the router and the modem are linked, giving each PC access, independent of the other one. If you decide you want to have one PC act as a server, this is a different application and requires a lot more customization.

You can attach your second PC to your ADSL router if it supports more than one port. If it doesn't you can purchase a switch with multiple ports e.g. 4, run the ADSL router through the switch and attach your first PC and second PC to the switch. It's not going to be easy if you aren't sure what to do. If you aren't sure I would suggest requesting your local PC shop to help you out or maybe get a friend to assist you. I would be more than happy to help if I were still in Oz.
