the road to hell (part 2)-Chris Rea
Well i'm standing by a river
But the water doesn't flow
It boils with every poison you can think of
And i'm underneath the streetlight
But the light of joy i know
Scared beyond belief way down in the shadows
And the perverted fear of violence
Chokes the smile on every face
And common sense is ringing out the bells
This ain't no technological breakdown
Oh no, this is the road to hell
And all the roads jam up with credit
And there's nothing you can do
It's all just bits of paper flying away from you
Oh look out world, take a good look
What comes down here
You must learn this lesson fast and learn it well
This ain't no upwardly mobile freeway
Oh no, this is the road
Said this is the road
This is the road to hell

No, that's one of those sayings that have no support in the Bible like when people say "God helps those who help themselves."
God honors your desire to do good, it just seems that a lot of time people try to do good by interfering in other people's business without consulting them first. That's why Paul exhorted the new Christians in Thesselonica to... aspire to live quietly, and to mind your own affairs, and to work with your hands, as we instructed you, so that you may live properly before outsiders and be dependent on no one. 1 Thessalonians 4:11-12
However, Peter gave the other side of the coin in this passage.
"For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their prayer. But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil." Now who is there to harm you if you are zealous for what is good? But even if you should suffer for righteousness' sake, you will be blessed. Have no fear of them, nor be troubled, but in your hearts regard Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect, having a good conscience, so that, when you are slandered, those who revile your good behavior in Christ may be put to shame. For it is better to suffer for doing good, if that should be God's will, than for doing evil. 1 Peter 3:12-17

whether your intentions are bad or good has nothing to do with whether or not you go to hell, and bringing a friend is their choice, not yours... but you definitely can influence your friends
the road to hell is paved with failure to believe that Jesus is the Son of God who died for your sins and mine, and then rose from the dead to ascend to heaven
believe this, speak your belief, and yes, you will definitely miss that road to hell.

It all just depends upon what your "good" intentions are and we can not judge which way the road will take you. You do!!!
