In Hollywood, many movies throughout the Hollwood years used Anti-Semitism, Anti-Catholicism, and now Anti-Arab. I think Hollywood shouldn't make films like that if they know that many other countries are making bad films about them!!!!! (because of the above statement). Its like war.....

i think it's pretty rotten to beat a guy when he's down. so he said some less that honorable statements....he was heavily inebriated, almost twice the legal limit. let's let inconsequential stories die.

there's a lot of pressure in being famous.

One drunk actor does not Hollywood make, and actually he was not as bad as that one fool on Oprah's couch jumping up and down, or Garth Brook and his "alter ego" a few years ago.

And in reality Mel Gibson has never been fully accepted into the Hollywood culture and most of Hollywood was glad to see him make a fool of hisself.

And who really cares what a drunk says, many say they hate thier mother, there mothers are wh.....s and more
What should be a concern is that he is not punished more for what he said when drunk, and that he is punished properly for this 2nd DUI

I already knew that he was a little loose in the head, kind of like Tom Cruise and his Scientology words of wisdom theory.
I honestly feel that Mel has more problems then the anti-Semitic remarks he has made. Calling a female office"sugar t*ts" (which makes me feel that he thinks women should not be officers, my opinion) and the fact that he was drinking and was speeding. That he had an open bottle of Tequila in his car and, let us not forget, tried to run away before he was captured. This was before his rants. And, how about before he has gotten into the car? He was seen with two lovely blondes and was really having a great time. You think he did not want to go somewhere with either one of them? he said his wife was at home and, why worry about her?
So, he has a lot of problems to deal with: his alcoholism and the fact that he could've hurt someone, his wife and his remarks.
He's got three big issues to worry about, don't you think?

I don't feel any different about Hollywood, I do however feel a lot different about Mel Gibson. What does he have to do with a city. He's not even from Hollywood. I live in Hollywood. Don't connect that ignorant man with my town.

More bigots out there than just Mel Gibson. Give this a few months to blow over. He'll come out of rehab, throw some cash to a few Jewish charities, beg forgiveness, and all will be well. Money talks, and if he can act in and produce movies that sell, that's the only thing that counts (unfortunately).....

Same way I always felt. It is absolutely ludicrous to worship those Hollywood movie stars.

You know, it didn't always used to be that way. In the 1930's, Hollywood was accepted as a trashy place, and most people did NOT look up to the movie stars.

When their salaries started getting so large, and people began to equate money with status, that's when it happened that people thought movie stars were supposed to be some sort of good example to look up to.

Actually, they are not, and have never been.

They are just people, and not necessarily good people.

Live with it.

I don't like the comments he said, anti Semitic, Arab, catholic. In some of his movies he portrays himself as a guy who sticks up for the rights of the minorities. Lethal weapon against racism. So I'm not impressed. But he's not the only person in the world who has made a ******** of himself whilst drunk it does not excuse he behaviour but a certain balance and proportion must be also given to him. Not because he's a big movie star but because he's human.

Hollywood is the same. Mel Gibson is the only one who should be looked upon in a negative way.

Hollywood is an ugly city. The streets are cracked and dirty, and there's too much traffic. Good luck finding a parking space. The sky is hazy with smog. It was that way before Mel's comments.

Mel Gibson made some comments that he should have never made-let alone when he and his movie "The Passion Of The Christ" are under attack- but he apoogized, checked into rehabilitation, and even gave loads of money to a Jewish charity, so please leave him alone.

All humans are sinners who diserve to go to hell, but by God's grace, those who live for Jesus Christ will go to Heaven where the worldy things will be gone away for ever and a day.
