when deciphering the truth, which do you rely on more, the obvious that you can dissect, or slippery heart-felt convictions?

physical: involving the body as distinguished from the mind or spirit; "physical exercise"; "physical suffering"; "was sloppy about everything but her physical appearance"

emotional: In psychology and common use, emotion is the language of a person's mental state of being, normally based in or tied to the person's internal (physical) and external (social) sensory feeling. Love, hate, courage, fear, joy, sadness, pleasure and disgust can all be described in both psychological and physiological terms.

When it comes to God- I follow my heart.
If I was an intelligent child waiting for my Mom...and someone told me that my Mom wants me to get into that someones car...then I would ask for my Mom to step out (physical evidence) of the car before I let the person come near me or before I go anywhere near the car. ..IT"S JUST AN EXAMPLE.
Sometimes truth necessarily has to be seen...at other times following your guts and emotional intelligence can be beneficial.

Well, I don't think the choice is as simple as I read from your question. You wrote:

"the obvious that you can dissect, or slippery heart-felt convictions?"

There are more than a few matters which are NOT obvious, and not easy to "dissect" or analyze. You put the adjective "slippery." This is an indication that you are not in favour of using your intuition? I sense a loaded question. here. Show your cards. What have you got under your sleeve? What's your agenda?

I use both, yes. I analyze the situation, consider my courses of action, and think, how do I feel about the most likely options?

It really depends on what I am dealing with at the time.
If,lets say that I am dealing with someone I really don't know or really don't care about, then I tend to go with the "physical evidence"

On the other hand, if I am dealing with a loved one or someone I am attached to, then I tend to know they aren't telling me the truth but I want so bad to believe them at times, that I have been known to ignore the facts and I usually end up getting burned.

I always end up mad at myself and say it will never happen again, but some how it does.

Physical evidence and some think that means that you don't believe in God but I feel there is enough physical evidence to prove there is a God.Romans 1:20 for his invisible qualities are clearly seen from the worlds beginning onward because they are perceived by the things made even his eternal power and God ship, so that the are inexcusable.
because although they knew god they did not glorify him as god nor did they thank him but they became empty headed in their reasoning's and their unintelligent heart became darkened.
In other words we have enough physical evidence to prove God does exist.
and following your heart. "The heart is more traitors than anything else and is desperate who can know it.

I follow my heart a lot. And I've always regretted decisions I've made with just my head. But i get in trouble if I don't use my head at all. So I'm a war of head versus heart when it comes to making desicions.

The spirit can be deceived and the heart led astray. Give me something I can perceive with my senses.

I like to say, "Only your heart can tell you where to go, but only your mind can tell you how to get there."
