errr... if he doesn't know how you feel about him, why're you in a rush to get over him?
no one can give you set advice on how to get over a situation so personal. i would suggest telling him how you feel. maybe you won't have to get over him, because he'll feel the same way. who knows?
outside of that, it's painful, but with time you will just adapt to new situations. i would try to resolve within yourself that you guys are just friends, and if need be, distance yourself a little. don't just stop talking to him, but take the time you need to get over it.. and when you do, your friendship will be that much better.
good luck.

If you were with him for 6 years you he never knew how you felt.....something was really wrong here. Forget it.......stop living in la la land.......get over it. He is not into you......move on or waste another 6 years.....your choice!

Travel seems to be the best solution for you. Whether it's a roadtrip, vacation, or a relative visit, it will take your mind off of this situation. Good luck and best wishes.
