... more about commercial baking techniques, start-up capital, zoning laws, etc.

Does anyone have some good pointers, or maybe a great website? How about a good pastry arts program at any PA schools (the closer to Philadelphia/northeast PA, the better!)

Thanks so much!

The best routes to take are to research the process of starting a business as well as the industry you're interested in.

I recommend checking out the SBA, Entrepreneur, The Start Up Journal & Nolo. All 4 are great informational resources for the new/small business owner. I posted links for you in the source box.

Associations may be a good avenue to explore. These organizations will address many of the thoughts, questions and concerns you'll inevitably have as well as many you haven't anticipated yet. See the source box for some relevant links.

Research, research, research – this cannot be stressed enough. Read as much as you can about the industry. Here are some book titles that are relevant:

* How to Open a Financially Successful Bakery by Sharon Fullen, Douglas R. Brown
* The Baker's Trade: A Recipe for Creating the Successful Small Bakery by Zachary Y. Schat
* Baking for Profit: Starting a Small Bakery by George Bathie
* Specialty Shop Retailing: How to Run Your Own Store Revised by Carol L. Schroeder

PA Specific:
* How to Start a Business in Pennsylvania by Desiree A. Petrus, Mark Warda
* How to Start a Business in Pennsylvania by Entrepreneur Press

There are plenty of free informational resources out there. Check the source box for links to articles.

Hope that helps! I wish you much success & happiness in all your ventures!

As a self-taught drummer myself, i will be able to let you know that there relatively is not any 'quick" technique to be taught an device. It takes plenty of persistence, train, subject, and difficult paintings. Now that being stated, a few individuals do be taught faster than others so all of it is dependent upon the man or woman. I have 2 cousins that each play guitar and each are self-taught. My one cousin Terry practiced practically day-to-day and picked it up faster than my cousin Dave, who did not train almost as so much. Terry grew to be lovely darn well in approximately eight months. It all boils all the way down to how discovered you're, how so much you train, and the way rapidly you opt for matters up. My recommendation might be to get a tutorial booklet or DVD and be taught a couple of chords. If you do it for your possess you are going to shop plenty of cash and you'll cross at your possess speed. Guitar courses aren't low-priced in this day and age, except you already know any one. Just deliver it a shot for your possess for a month or two and notice the way you development. Then when you think you want courses to get greater, then uncover a well instructor that may not be too highly-priced. But the secret is to train....train.....train! Good Luck!
