I just bought one of those thick elastic headbands (the ones that go all the way around the head: like this http://www.urbanoutfitters.com/shopping/product/detailmain.jsp?itemID=22880&itemType=PRODUCT&iMainCat=77&iSubCat=707&iProductID=22880 )

Yesterday I tried to wear it, but i'm having a problem keeping it on my head. I don't know if it's because my head is just too small, or if my hair is too soft, or what...but it just keeps slowly creeping down my head till it falls off. Does anyone know how to keep it in place?

I have the same issue as you. My hair is straight and very smooth. NOTHING stays in my hair -- which kills me, because I always want to buy myself those cute silk headscarves that I can tie like a headband. I find that 2 bobby pins in the front or back, or one in the front and one in the back, will keep your headband in place. If it worked for me, it will work for you!

I have always had a serious problem with those elastic headbands. So I would just buy the chunky ones that are like hard, and don't go all the way around your head. Sorry I couldnt help that much. :]

sometimes i have this difficulty.
its a combo of your hair being to fine/soft and your head being small... also the band might be too big.
to keep it in place, put your hair in a pony tail and then put on the headband secure it in place with bobbi pins or clippies (the ones that snap when you bend em...) then once it stays with your hair up let down your pony tail... if it helps any, spray the under side of the headband with hairspray so its a little sticky on your hair...

Try putting using 2 small bobby pins, 1 behind each ear. Use them to attach the headband to your hair, pushing from front to back. If you put them behind your ears you shouldn't be able to really see them.

Those types of head bands are hard to get to stay on, you can try bobby pinning them where it wont be seen

You just have to keep pushing it back. You are not the problem, it is the headband.

get some bobby pins that are close to the color of the head band and just bobby pin it in discreet places.
