It's called the "law of conservation of energy", and it was Newton. Basically it states that new energy can never be created, and existing energy can never be destroyed. Energy can only be converted from one for to another. Our cars convert the energy that holds the atoms of gasoline together into movement by breaking those bonds with a controlled explosion. All the energy from the movement of the car goes into moving us and all the air around the car. Our bodies run on energy, and our bodies can be converted to energy by other living things when we die. But if your looking for scientific proof or reasoning for a soul, I'm sorry to tell you that you're barking up the wrong tree.

Einstein stated that matter and energy can be converted back and forth by that famous formula, E = MC squared. The atomic and hydrogen bomb proved him right.
Our bodies are made up of atoms. These atoms are constantly being changed out as we speak. So what atoms you were made up with a year ago are no longer in you. You are simply a pattern, a program, that lets the atoms know where to fit it, so that you look pretty much the same as you did a year ago. The program allows for a slow change over time. That's why you look really different than you did ten years ago, and why you don't look like a baby still.
When you look at a stream or river from a distance, it looks tranquil and static, but when you get up close, you realize that the water particles are constantly changing. When you put your hand in the water you can feel it pushing your hand downstream.
When we die we lose the ability to put the atoms in the right place and we disintegrate. Those same atoms go off to maybe help maintain another form of life, like a flower, or a chipmunk. But even there, it will only be for a certain amount of time.

We are just a collection of atoms, bur they have always been changing. The component parts that make us up, the atoms and energy have also always been changing. They didn't exist as they currently are at the point of the big bang. Even now, they are not stable. Every particle has a half life. Some are extremely stable, but there is a finite chance for all particles that they will become some other particles and change states or change into energy.
So, what is us at this moment in time will not always be this, so if you mean we will be forever around because our constituents will be, the answer is no.

Energy can be neither created nor destroyed. It can only change form. In other words, it can go from energy form to matter form.
This doesn't mean that it can't be disrupted or stirred or dispersed. The energy that is you can certainly be so altered, scattered, mixed that you no longer exist. The you that does exist is more chemical energy in the brain cells and neurons than anything else. Once this chemical energy is removed from it's cellular housing, I don't think you exist anymore.

I think he is talking about the law of conservation of energy. The law of conservation of energy is one of the basic laws of physics and therefore governs the microscopic motion of individual atoms in a chemical reaction.
The law of conservation energy states:
In a closed system, i.e., a system that isolated from its surroundings, the total energy of the system is conserved.
What this means is that the total energy in a system is constant, even though the form of energy may change.
What this means in context of your question is that, although your personal energy will be around until the end of time, it will no longer be recognizable as uniquely you, but will be scattered about doing different jobs.
Some could be stored as chemical energy in a tree, some as electrical potential in a thundercloud, some as kinetic energy in the hailstones of that same cloud, some as thermal energy heating a cup of coffee in a microwave in Tibet
a couple of ergs bouncing off the mars rover receiving antenna.
I think you get the picture.

I was a physics flunk so this may be wrong, but energy cannot be created or destroyed, but it can change forms. In other words, Kinetic energy can become heat energy.
Heat energy can become potential energy. Etc.
Not sure quite what kind of energy Geller was talking about. :-$

No. Einstein proved that for all intents and purposes energy & matter are the same thing. That's different from saying that energy will "never die", and "personal energy" is a figment of Mr.Geller's imagination anyway!

Depends what you mean by you.
Your energy will not be destroyed - it will just pass into something else.
The atoms that you are made of will disperse and form part of something else.
Looking at it like that you will go on forever. You just won't know anything about it!

in a word no,
our matter or energythat derives from it will never dissapear, hence the logic behind, reincarnation and heaven
however there will be no concious transition
the converion with only be to other physical chemiacls or elements or into energy
life is a concept, that neither chemicals or energy posses

The Chinese call it chi. life force or energy. Every living thing has it .Even a tree cut to make a door will retain some of that energy. Tai chi, qiong and meditation can help you to become aware of your own chi & others. It teaches you to cultivate, feel and use chi to preform super human acts of streingth, focus and control.
