I hear Joe claims to vote as a D, but I thought he opposed abortion rights, stem cell research, gay marriage, school prayer, etc.

On most social issues Senator Lieberman is quite liberal.

His current difficulties in Connecticut are to his support for the war on terror.

I haven't followed the campaign closely, but Ned Lamont is running against Lieberman base on Lieberman's support for the war.

Lamont's fortune has been estimated at over $100 Million (and they say all rich people are Rs). I suppose that a good deal of the funding for the campaign is coming from Lamont's financial connections, including his family.

There is a lot of lies about Sen. Lieberman. I am from CT and strongly oppose him as a conservative. Here are some facts:

From the American Consevative Union: http://www.acuratings.org/

His 2005 as a conservative was 8 out of 100, 2004 was 0, and lifetime is 17. Sen. Clinton had a 17 in 2005.

The lefties hate Lieberman because he believes in the Iraq war. I have been bombarded with commercials for Ned Lamont for weeks. Lieberman's opponents are trying to capitalize on hatred for Pres. Bush and equating Sen with the President. I have heard no facts other than the Senator's support for the war. These Democrats make me sick and are nothing but crazy people that need counselling.

If Americans want to demonize a man for fighting terrorists that declared war on us, fine. I hope you are in the city that the terrorists nuke. I have read so much garbage against the war in the Middle East on this Yahoo Answers. I am ashamed to be called an American anymore. I could spend hours describing how disgraceful you are, but I have a happy and productive life to live and you are not worth my time.
