'Drift racing' or 'drifting' is a form of motorsport in which oversteer is used to make the car slide or "drift". It originally became popular in the winding backroads of Japan.

A motorsport at which a driver is awarded points for sliding. The driver that slides over the largest part of the track gets the most points (they even slide left to right on the straights). It is not actually racing, because the measure of performance are points and not the time in which the driver completes the lap.
