THE answer is 42, and the question will be popping out of my specially designed supercomputer in just a few more years... unless somebody builds a space lane over it again.

Is life a question? Is the universe a question? Is "everything" a question? I personally believe not. I do not think that life is one big question or mystery. The universe is not a question, but just a mystery in that we are not able to research all of it's seemingly infinite vastness (for it is finite). And as for "everything," that is neither question nor mystery.

As for the question of life, I believe that many people see it as a mystery or a question, for they know not the purpose of it. If you are a devout atheist and evolutionist, you will most likely choose to see life as a mystery to avoid the fact that you have no purpose and are just an "intelligent" beast born of chance into a earth which was born by chance into a universe also born of chance. Your sole purpose, if there is any, is to make try to make something of the chance of your life, which makes your life a mystery- for if you are born of chance for chance, what purpose could your life hold? Your role in this universe would be to live, reproduce, die, and further the evolutionary chain. But in reality, there is no purpose of life in that. How could there be? Please tell me.

However, if you believe in a God, the existence of which is indeniable, then you have purpose. You have been created for a purpose on an earth created for a purpose in an universe created for a purpose. In this alone will you find your purpose, and each individual has their own unique purpose- it should be your goal to seek it out and fulfill it.

As for the universe, we will never be able to fully understand it. Even though it is finite, its vastness is immeasurable, the galaxies it contains are innumerable, and the stars and planets the galaxies contain are countless. The universe will be a mystery only because we will never be able to fully comprehend it. It is not a question, that is if you are not an atheist or evolutionist. If you are, the universe would be one big question. How did it just give birth to itself? Why did it come into existence? What caused it to come into existence? Why does it exist? How, even by chance, could this happen? To believe such is fatalistic in that all things are predetermined and controlled by chance. By not accepting the reality of a god, you make Chance a god.

I hope this helps. You can make life a mystery, or you can discover its meaning. If you seek the truth, you will find it.

The answer is 42. The question has yet to be determined.

For those who don't recognize why the answer is 42, read "The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy" by Douglas Adams. Read the book, forget the movie.

I have a compulsion to teach and answer young peoples' intelligent questions. Such impossible questions as this are liable to give me hemorrhoids, though. The answer to everything? The aim of our existence is to SEEK, not KNOW. Watch the X-files episode called, "Je Souhaite" and listen to Scully's statement towards the end when Mulder wants to bring peace instantly to our world. Her statement puts it in a nutshell for us, for humanity, for now.

At this point you need to specify exactly what the question is and that may take a few million years but have faith the mice will know. Life? Don't talk to me about life. Ask Marvin

Everybody's view on it is different, so I would say i really depends on yourself. It can be found within yourself, look deep into your heart. You may find the answer easily or hard.

As for me, I'm still searching for the answer as whatever is happening everyday is different and so I too, do not have an answer for you.

According to the tiles that Arthur pulled out of the Scrabble bag at the end of "Life..." "What is eight times six"

And boy, Patois, did this question go right over your head. Full of yourself, are we?
