continued to work on a job that you hated because the benefits were good and they do fun things?

My job has a awards show every year to honor the best in each department, their benefits are excellent, and they do little things like give you trinkets for a certain occasion, send an email telling everyone it's your birthday, have parties for team members.

Take the benefits. Give your all and wait for an advancement in the job or another opportunity elsewhere.

1) If you need the money, stay with the job until you can afford to quit
2) If you do not need the money al lthat bad, look for another job or quit imemdiately
3) Trinkets, etc. fade and break over time, frustrations and stress can impact your health for the long term. SO quitting would be better.
4) Fun does not las very long before it got boring. So quitting may be the best way

If it seems like I am saying "Quit" a lot, it is because that is the best way out of this situation. Quit or look for another department to work in.

The grass seems greener on the other side. But if your not fully happy. start looking for a job. Otherwise, you will become more frustrated and eventually just quit. Sometime financial obligation does not allow us to do that. That is why you should start getting your finance in order to be able to afford a cut, if it had to come to that
