Actors and others don't wait tables because they like it—they need the money and are waiting for a job they think that they will like better.

You set your motivation. You might not like the Project or what happened or how it happened, but it is up to you to audit what happened and how it went, and what could be done better next time. Focus comes from within. I have been in Project Management for 20+ years and I can promise you, there has never been a project where I don't loose the motivation. I just have to step back, look at the reasons I am there (my four beautiful daughters, partner, and 5 dogs) and my motivation and focus returns VERY quickly.
What ever motivates you, use it to bring your focus.
Good Luck!

Come in in the morning, all business.
Put your 'game face' on.
Imagine that you are the Grim Reaper and you're auditing souls.
Give the elements names or colors.
Divide the whole thing into pieces, and celebrate each half hour's accomplishment if you get further than anticipated.
Work yourself up to do this; imagine that you'll be sad when it's over!
Go for it!!!

self discipline. Or think about where your paycheck is coming from and how it will be impacted if you do not finish the project.
Simple choices. If you don;t like the job, then quit. But if this is a one-off thing, grin and bear it, because this is called reality and sometimes we have to do things that are not "fun" in the real world.

You should have turned it down from the start, or told someone that this is not for You... instead you sat on it for 5 months and now You want to get paid for not doing your job... is that right?

Surf the internet and make something up. Be like George Constanza! It'll work out, or you'll lose your job!
Either way, who cares?

You hit the nail on the pinnacle. Partisan rhetoric sells. It makes for extra useful scores on the cable information networks and distracts the rustic from the fraudulant practices of human beings in banking and government on the two aspects of the aisle.

Break it up into little parts, so you can at least feel like you accomplished something every day. Also, you can reward yourself after each little part is finished.

It's called self-discipline. Be the first on your block to try a little.
